It was really inspiring to visit their facilities in Seattle. I recall reading that Howard Schultz thinks the Roastery is the next level for coffee lovers and it has surely become a hang-out place for many types of different crowds. I really wonder if this Roastery idea would work out as intended (and casually following their stock). As I travel around the world, Starbucks is always crowded with people. I don't think this company is dying down anytime soon. I love how brave they want to become. They may not make the best coffee, and some may argue that the company is too commercialized, but you cannot deny how strong this brand has become and really captured a significant market share as one of the few American beverage companies that protruded in many cities around the world. It's phenomenal. I love reading the founding story of Howard Schultz, I admire his drive.

Amazon Go was a very interesting experience. It's a really tiny grocery store, where I could buy snacks and quick bites but none of the fresh produce or fruits. I don't know if I felt comfortable being watched at all times while at the grocery store. It can detect what I had picked up from the shelf, and item that was returned back on the shelf. It would also tell me that I spent exactly 7mins 25 seconds in the store (wow, I never received such precise info on time spent at a grocery store before!). All these information would probably help them better understand my shopping pattern. I just don't like the fact that the company knows about the purchased items associated with the identity of "Bonnie". My consumption purchases are already being tracked by the credit card companies, and now another one...

On the other end, it was seamless to check-out without having to wait for any cashier. It saved time for sure.
