This morning, I felt a sharp pain on the joint of my left toe when I took my first step. I know something is definitely off if I am limping when walking because I didn't want to put pressure on the left foot. But I have no idea how this sensation started...as usual, I googled my condition and symptoms, I got so many answers and some of the searches made me worried. I was feeling quite uncomfortable and I had a tour to go in the morning that involved walking.

By the afternoon, I decided to take a rest and start applying the R.I.C.E (Rest - Ice - Compression - Elevate) method on my swelling joint. I had the chance to ice my foot for 30 mins, then compressed it quickly and elevated my foot as much as possible. Not long after, the swelling has subsided and I was able to walk again without limping!! What a miracle lol You have no idea how happy I was then. Who knows, maybe I would have to end my trip short :(

I'm thinking that maybe because I have been walking extensively over the past days and have done many physical activities, I might have pulled a tendon or something like that. My body finally took a toll and it's telling me that I need to take it easy and rest up. I'm finally taking some time to rest today.

I learned my lesson: apply R.I.C.E immediately on the swelling, this method works well.
